About me
With dual degrees in Communications/Public Relations and Graphic Design, as well as additional studies in fine art, I bring a uniquely layered approach to design and branding. This combination of formal education and creative training allows me to understand audiences deeply, communicate effectively, and craft visuals that resonate and drive impact.

Over 20+ years, I’ve partnered with small and medium organizations like the Iowa Arts Council, Iowa Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Proteus, and many others, creating cohesive brand identities, websites, brochures, and marketing materials. My work spans branding, visual identity systems, print and digital design, and strategic communications, blending creativity with strategic thinking.

Honored as one of Des Moines’ 40 Under 40, this recognition highlights my dedication to leadership, creative innovation, and making a meaningful impact in the community.

I focus on human-centered, strategic design—creating visuals that not only look exceptional but communicate what matters most to your audience.
My interests are many...
Have you heard of the term "multipotentialite"? Probably not - but that's me. Multipotentialite describes individuals who are endlessly intrigued by a variety of people and things. Not long ago, I watched this Ted Talk and everything just clicked. I am curious by nature and fascinated by different cultures, new ideas and understanding the processes that make the world go 'round.

...my background is diverse.
I was born in San Sebastian, Spain, and grew up in Venezuela and Colombia. After I graduated high school, my mother and I came to the United States and lived in Denver, Colorado. I attended and graduated from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, with a degree in Graphic Design and Communications.
And as a current Iowa resident, I am passionate about being a voice and advocating for minorities and underserved populations, and make sure we celebrate the diversity they bring to our communities.

I've lived in three different countries, speak multiple languages, and have a wide range of interests. This combined allows me to look at every situation as a unique opportunity. I like to put myself in others' shoes, and I enjoy studying what motivates people. I believe all these things collectively gives me the advantage of understanding how to visually communicate concepts effectively for a variety of audiences.

I believe this combination allows me to produce fresh ideas and a thoughtful approach.
